» NEW - Weddings in the gardens
Foxglove Spires nestles under the shadow of Mt Dromedary/Gulaga at Tilba Tilba, where owners Sue and Peter Southam have transformed three and a half acres of farmland into a wonderful woodland garden with rambling walks, archways, hedges and masses of flowers.

The Open Garden at Foxglove Spires is now regarded as one of Australia’s best and no trip to the far south coast in any season is complete without exploring the garden and visiting the café, nursery and giftware/antique shops also onsite.
  Peace & tranquility
The Foxglove Spires Open Garden surrounds a 100 year old farm cottage and entices its visitors to wander along its many fragrant paths, leading them under romantic rose covered arbors and into secluded flower-filled areas.

The woodlands create a shady haven to rest in, while the pond at the bottom of the garden adds to the peace and tranquility felt by all in this harmonious, spellbinding garden.

Each season brings transformation and different highlights in the garden.
  Garden highlights
These include:
• a grand 55m (165') long arbour of espaliered Manchurian pears which is a spectacular feature all year round with its beautiful bare tracery during winter and a carpet of red and yellow leaves in autumn.
• two 100 year old Norfolk Island Pines alongside the original cottage.
• a tranquil pond surrounded by shade trees, lilies and iris.
• a crabapple walkway,
• a citrus walk of oranges and lemons,
• a walk edged with 'Thomas Bouche' espaliered apples,
• stands of oaks, washes of bluebells and daffodils (best in early spring).
  Also at Foxglove Spires
After a stroll through the gardens Love at First Bite Café right at hand to enjoy a meal or coffee, while Forget Me Not Gifts, Gramophones 'N' Old Stuff and The Pineapple House will satisfy anyone looking for that certain gift or collectable.

There is also The Spires Nursery which features many of the unusual and hard-to-find plants featured in the gardens.
